I imagine a source of light coming from the top right and the part below the fold is slightly up because of the fold; that's why the bottom part has a darker shading. Good stuff now can you make a casino? =}

As a matter of fact this is my first post telling others what I think of their art. Well, Umdravo your spaceship is very cool and symmetrical. I like the colors you used as well. The dark purple and the gold accents work well together. Overall I really liked this piece and would like to see more space theme pixel art from this artist.
