Well, actually, I'm working on another project right now. In fact, I've never stopped working on pixel art since more than 10 years, hehe... I force myself, so, for example, instead of watching TV series, I make pixel art for @Pixel_Dailies. It's just that!

I pick my colors manually (based on experience) or looking at references (pixel art video games are the best references to me). For example, these days I'm looking at Master System game screenshots, but I usually look at 90's Capcom games color palettes and Henk Nieborg's portfolio.

It's just that. I look at the references and try to get similar colors manually. Then, I try to apply hue shifting when possible. So, well, it's all about experience, practice and good references. We're artists!

Yes, you're right! I myself see those errors when I finish my works, but fixing error takes a time I don't really have for investing on this... :/

Really well done! The color choice is quite interesting, though I think the excellent design is the key here. You could use another different pallete, and the result would be amazing as well.
