Also again, it's funny to me that PJ actually *does* have all these gamified elements that at a glance might seem to have the same insidious coerciveness as the ones on large platforms like Twitter etc., but in practice they're not driven by algorithims and a corporation's greed, so the effect ends up being drastically different.

Amen KrazyKoon, my thoughts exactly. With so many of the pre-Facebook/Twitter/Reddit internet communities now shuttered, it's such a blessing that PJ is still here.

I think it's kind of funny too because PJ actually has a lot of gamified aspects what with points and levels and whatnot, but it's all a lot less insidious than any of the major social media companies that are just trying to use up as much of our time as possible.
