I saw this at TCF. And I will say again that I love your style.

That is the point, yes. I put emphasis on the tophat because I like tophats.

I knew this was you when I saw the preview. There's something about this style that makes it so fascinating and adorable, the simplicity complements the sprite very well.

In all honesty, I only ever got a Sandshrew because I wanted a Sandslash.

Thanks for the helpful comments, Damian! I did as you requested, any other suggestions?

Thank you for making the challenge unwinnable for anyone else.

Somehow, I knew this was yours from first glance of the preview. Nice colors and style, it's abstract and unique.

BDSM Seal?

Anyhow, I like these sprites, filled with character and life, I really like the clusters, too.

Touche.

Sir Cutswood @ 1/14/2015 19:43 commented on ZOOM [WC]

Thanks for the useful crits, Pheno. Few questions before I edit it, though. How do I darken it? Do I just lower the brightness of the current color, or use a different color entirely, thanks again for the thankful advice.

user
Sir Cutswood @ 1/14/2015 18:53 commented on ZOOM [WC]

I would. but smoke that comes from jet engines don't dissipate that fast. Doing so would defy laws of physics.

user

It looks like a butt.

user
Sir Cutswood @ 1/9/2015 05:46 commented on Volcanic Golem [WC]

OH THANK GOD I FORGOT.

I get used to transparency being in the challenge rules, from time-to-time, and it seems now, you can't have any of them transparency.

Will edit it in a few seconds.

Looks nice! I would've recommended some exterior AA, though. Especially because you have a thick outline.

I've got it! Santa is hiding, because this is a Secret Santa.

You could put some more in-between frames in this piece. As while it looks nice, transitions look choppy.

user
Sir Cutswood @ 1/4/2015 02:46 commented on PJ Nerd

Poor, poor guy. Spends 4 hours on a thing, not qualifies for the rules. I know that feel, bro.

user
Sir Cutswood @ 1/4/2015 02:45 commented on Moosey

If you want to keep the AA, but also keep the transparent background, you could add some white outline to the subject. But, since the latter only works on bigger pieces, I would suggest removing the AA or just putting a white background.

Good catch. Fixed, fixed some mild shading issues in the hand, also.

Look at all the dithering!

Very nice piece, I must say. Theme and color look astounding.

user
Sir Cutswood @ 12/25/2014 06:33 commented on Snew

This doesn't break the rules, actually! As if you study it closer, each section has different color sets, but with the wonderful help of AA (greatly portrayed in this piece, actually.), the transition is seamless and gorgeous.

user
Sir Cutswood @ 12/24/2014 06:38 commented on Oh, really? [WC]

Could any mods notify me if using only one color for either of the parts palette is illegal/violating the challenge rules?

Thanks in advance.

Hair porn at it's finest.

Looks nice! I would recommend smoothing the light the blaster is giving, though. As currently, it looks like the 'light' just looks like part of the robot with a different color.

Also, add AA to that background, t'would look nice.
