Hey all,   Attaching my reference and my sketch so far.  Have I got the likeness down enough?

Why do I have doubts that you made this? *looks at ball and compares to other elements*

This is also a drawing style from a cartoon for children, I'm very sure it is.
The cartoon si about a boy (the one in the bed) getting scared all the time, I remember those eyes, that style.

Just read your second post, I think you confirmed it yourself.

If Elk says there's an issue...there just might be... I agree that the ball looks very different from the rest - texture wise etc... but I don't like to even contemplate that someone would do such a thing so I'm reserving judgement...benefit of the doubt...

Celri,  Your pixel art doesn't suck at all especially for being new on here.  You could be more help to others than you know.  Heck, yours are better than mine and I've been here for a while and spend way too much time at it...lol

@dpixel Thanx!  That was very kind of you   I can't wait to finish my faery - she's taking too long!!!!!  But it is my first really humungous canvass...

He's lookin' great! Some lines need to be evened out, but overall it's coming along nice.

You're intending to shade it, right?

I hope you have enough time to do a whole comic. :3

I wasn't sure about shading because it is drawn very "cartoony".   Maybe this is not good material for pixel art??  Thanks for your input, I appreciate it!

@NotlikeTheOther You could try a more realistic way of making cartoons shading it, or at least try to make some kind of difference between the original. Also you can make a great AAing, as lucas said.

Anyhoo, pieces are added all the time and sometimes pieces get buried in the queue. The preview didn't say 'challenge' so it just got overlooked. Not that previews have to say challenge but you know, it didn't say 'click me'. Best of luck.

I feel I'm in a similar situation to TropicalSnowcone -- I'm new around here, and submitted a piece to the challenge earlier today, but it hasn't shown up yet. The clock is getting a little close to zero, so I thought I'd pop in here and ask about it!

Anything I need to do that I missed, because upload it with the 'Challenge!' box checked?

I won't claim to be 100% sure of much! Of this, certainly not. I'll try re-submitting it now; maybe something wigged out before.

(The form is auto completing this time -- I definitely did it before!)
Ok; well, I don't know what happened, but it's in the gallery now, awaiting approval. Guess the flub's something on my end. Tomorrow, I'll have to give my router a stern talking to. :D
