I've recently begun practicing spriting trees, a subject that I have always struggled with, even outside of pixel work. But just for once, I actually made a tree I'm somewhat happy with. Not to say it couldn't be better. Not at all! If anyone has Critique for me, be it for the even the grass/clouds, please don't hesitate to go all out.

shading should be conentrated more too one side, as should the lighting. but generaly i like it.

nothing wrong with the light coming from above.
right now you have the large, leafy forms down. but they're still obvious shapes. Break it up a bit with more leafy texture, less uniform shapes. and I'd use that highlight more. quick edit on the left side to show what I mean: ![]() Overall looks great though. also, try not to start more than 1 WIP thread at a time (helps avoid clutter and ensures you'll focus on a particular piece)- or, alternately, put several pieces in a single thread.
