Thanks, dude...your pic is sweet, too!  Nice sense of proportion and nice graphic style.

For mine, I just worked fom a photo, and analyzed the tonal areas.  I printed the pic out as a b/w image, so I could see lights and darks better.  Then I pixelled a low colour version, blocking in large tone areas, then just dithered and added intermediary tones...it took about two and a half hours to finish.

I did take some liberties with it, though.  My hair's blond now, but the brown worked better, since I could reuse the colours in the face and coat...my hair's naturally that colour, anyways.

Well, here’s mine. I was pretty impressed out how it came out. I used those tips you suggested nvision and it really helped! I got a picture of myself and then concentrated on the shadows.

Um, i think in Hishnak's post the colours of the yearbook seem to have changed and the background image's quality has been reduced, might be something to do with how many colours it was set to when it was saved... oh yeah, and i've been taken out, but hey >.<

This is tough, i've done a few drafts but i cant seem to get it right.

Yea, I noticed my version the shadow thing was a little wonkey.

ok the image is a placeholder, your image and quote and name must
all fit within the pink areas. you have one tile when finished please
post it and where you want it to go. you can reserve a spot by
taking the image above and chosing a spot from there.

if you have already created a piece please make it fit within the
pinkness!! they must be transparent aswell.
