should i add a background? should i add anything else?

I see it... looks pretty smooth as far as the animation goes. Put a background in though and see what that does to make it gel better

Yeah put a bg in! The character has a appealing style. Do the bg the same way. The animation is smooth and nice. Good job so far.

i finally got some time to make a background.

the sidewalks are different, thats why i posted 2.
i dont know which 1 i should use.

I'd go with no.2, but would also sugest you to shade the wall the same way you shaded those floor tiles.

I have:
-shaded all of the bricks
-made some bricks lighter to break the monotomy

I was actually goin for the plain look to match up with the character
but now that i see your bg next to mine i like yours alot better.

Whoa Ghrey that turned out absolutely hot! (and it somehow fits to your nick now that I think about it ) Please edit the street light though it doesn't look so good right now. Give it the same minimalism (or maybe cubistic would fit better here = reducing something to geometric shapes) look as the character. And if you wanna go very crazy you could take the street light as light source into consideration when you light/shade the sidewalks
