Your opinion about my robot. Since improving it without losing the style. It has an eye and two enormous legs that they support to the body.
Very strange not
Thank you

Dont flip one side horizontally, make the legs do something different, its just a basic thing, no shading at all.

Do you use a translator? If you state what your native language is, maybe a pixeler who speaks the same could help you in a more specific way.

Carl, i'm glad you're trying to improve your abilities now, but you have to be patient if you want any help atall.

Atm the basic design looks fine. If you're going to keep a background, then make that aswel and AA the robot to it. If not, then i'd try and make the edges less bumpy, especially around the legs.

i think all you really need to do now apart from that is to find yourself a lightsource and build up some shadowing and highlighting, to give the piece some depth.

Dra Chan speaks spanish.. Let's hope she sees this thread ;-)

And you need more shading than that.

Yo hablo un pocito de tu idioma.

Try to shade from a lightsource, and imagine how the light would hit different parts of the robot and create shadows and highlights. It helps to shade in blocks and then smooth it out sometimes.

RPG is numberwang.

Language seems to be a barrier here so I'll use the universal language of pixel art to help. In the last hour, I made this robot just for this purpose:

Hope that helps you with the colouring.

Metal is not always shiney. Metal can have any sort of texture; glossy, matte, brushed etc. For example on my robot, the grey parts are brushed and the gold parts are glossy. Even shiney metals can have colour blends in the reflections which can only be achieved with dithereing if there's a limited palette.

Perfect!
Study how the light gleams off of the metal.
How the metal beams a vivid light onto the gilette razor handles.
Giving the blue a sort of shimmer.

Someone hook the dude up with the link to the metal tutorial to show him how to properly do it.

Yeah, because if you want to do it metal textured, you'll have to use the tutorial and other references, seeing as that main ref seems to be made of plastic.
