Looks like you worked hard on this. I only find the lightsource (and lack of) is all over the place. The pixel on the whole is interesting.

This piece is going in the right direction. As jalonso said, add a
lightsource to give the piece more depht. That clown is scary ;_;

Thanks guys... Would anyone mind helping me create a good pallete for the guy in teh foreground? I cant seem to make his flesh look like its matching its sarroundings.. I can adjust lighting after I find the right color scheme. If you cant, thanks for viewing. :)

Well well, this is quite alot of work! The front guy's face is way too bright for such a dim scene, its really standing out and distracting. Reduce the values of all the colours for his face.
With the shading of the wood, on the fence specifically, you are adding highlight tones from panel to panel, but not removing/cutting down on shadow tones as you do so, which simply makes the texture of the wood "deeper" in appearance, rather than convincingly increasing the brightness of the plank. The white wood panel that is broken by the window the clown is leering through is another place this is happening. Basically im saying you have a transition of highlight throughout the image, but no transition of shadow, and this is washing out the depth. And the rooves (sp?) have no shadow or depth at all, so yeah a global lightsouce really needs to be worked into it. The mountains in the background could use more work, too, define their form in terms of a lightsource and shade accordingly. Edited by EyeCraft - 30 November 2006 at 7:03am |
