Just learning a lot myself so I'm maybe not the one
you want listening too, but since I do have some
opinions on it I rather share so it may help you with the
sprite.

Firstly I realy like the sneekers!!

What bothers me is that the gun is a black
thing with no shadow/highlight on it.
His hair looks a bit strange. Maybe use a different color?
What is it that he is wearing around his chest? Is that a halter?
If so, it sticks out strangely and usually the halter is around
his armpit.

The stretched out hand with the gun seems a bit odd as well
my guess is that the elbow needs to shift, or to rise the whole
arm a pixel or two.

Hopefully you value my response and maybe one or two advices
will help you a bit.

hair = not hair, I was going for those pilot goggle-helmet things (the goggles do nothing)

I hadn't done much on the gun because I didn't know where I was going with it

the helmet is now purple to set it apart, I don't know what color I want it
