This brings back fond memories of the old Robotech toys.  Really great job... it'd be nice to see some little people or cars around the feet to give it a grand sense of scale.

Thanks for suggestion about people Sedgemonkey,my army is very scared :)

..::Naso::.. if mech walk then animation go to big size, I thinking to make animation for separation of "assault part" from the mech ... or shot some missile :)

ryan-gfx glad to see you here !

here have big mistake with mechanism for his left leg ... of course need much work and I hope to have time and finish him :)

edit: repair the leg :)

Wow! that's amazing.
You know, I would put some more phat stuff on top of the mech -- some rocket launchers or some anti-wings or smth.
Otherwise that's fantastic!

It's good to see you've coloured it's legs just as elaborately as the rest of it. It's going to be great when it's done :)

REALLY well done, and excellently coloured. Not sure about that metal plating on the top, or whatever it is. Looks a little like veins, rather than metal plating. Also, that segment which has separated could do with a longer wing that you could maybe see a tiny bit on the other side as well, to make it seem less one sided. Though if it had a shadow on the ground, that wouldn't matter. Still excellent work

Monstara you talk about details ... they coming in next versions

Thanks for nice comment Kritter. I'll try to make some changes of the veins! For the wings I'm completely agreed with you, but I think for size and type of the wings. They are just idea. About shadows - of course, when mech is near to completion ...

Lawrence I hope to be good and detailed :)

Nice joke Rynov

I'm less lazy, but here is progress ...

Work on many parts as right/down pill-box and trench, more soldiers, more details of big mech, shadows aren't so good, need animations ets.

I show you because your remark and crit are always well appreciated ...

It cooould use some shadows in the pit-thing, though.

something about the balance of the piece bothered me, so I did a few redlines and found this.....

sadly, as I'm a very amateur isometrics person, I don't actually know what it means when things don't add up like this. Perhaps someone can explain to me why it works or explain to you why it doesn't.

Well, on your far right, you are adding the machine gun turret thing on the visible side, but not the hidden side.  Also, keep in mind with the feet that the mech is in battle, so naturally they won't be perfectly placed once it stops walking.  And one thing I have found, atleast with me, is that really detailed ISO pieces are almost impossible to make perfect...  But how a person works with the imperfections is also what makes a great ISO piece.  Either that, or zi- screwed up

Zi's drawing might not have been perfectly isometrical, but it doesn't matter because it's awesome.

Plus, The legs are moving, so they dont have to be 100% aligned. The missile launcher on the right accounts for the off-balanced cock-pit, and I'm guessing the grey neck-supporter thing has the ability to shift the head out of alignment.

About the leg yes one is forward, why - because if I put left /for me/ leg forward then you must see his bolt and then this part must be very dark in shadows, but I use limited colours and with only 3 maybe dark colours I cant make so dark and have more work for me

Otherwise for me legs aren't good too especially mechanism and axis of him, but I'm not so good and haven't so much patience

Uh oh, if that's not good, I might as well give up pixel art right now...

This is my lat submision for this work ... I hope this weekend to finish ...

yep work is big and have many mistakes, but from me one question, what you think for shadows under 2 flying objects, are they very contrast ?

I try to keep colours under 64 but with frame in left/upper part they go up ... only 4 frames for animation of the ship, but file size is very large ...

Ensellitiss I hope soon you wiil have one submission for your contest, but think for your idea then

Saboteur I know many people with very good experience /I talk only in ISO/ and I'm lazy, because see my first post for this work ... he is from 1.July... but today is 29

Yep Monstara civil engineer, maybe that is why I like ISO of course some day can try and another style, but ...

Amazing scene zi.  This takes me back to childhood when I used to setup my little plastic armymen against my Transformers.

I think it's really distracting to have just one little moving thing, I can't even see the mech I'm staring so hard at the vibrating ship beside it. It's especially disconcerting since it gives the impression that the scene is somehow in motion and yet the ship behind it which is veering crazily is just still.

anyways, planning to animate more of this?
