So, I've noticed that alot of people make huge iso projects, but the characters don't seem to fit with them. I thought I would try practicing this.

This is just the basic frame. I'll be detailing it soon.

If you put that in one of the iso scenes around here, you will notice one thing in all of the...the guy you made up there, doesn't fit in. He is at the wrong angle. Yours is looks straight on, kinda to the side, iso is from the top to the side a little bit. Your's wouldn't fit in with any of the scenes or cities.

For every second spent wondering if you can do something, you could spend 2 seconds doing it.

good to see you, joe.

One thing I noticed, (and this isn't to put anyone down) is that a lot
of people who come on here to jump into the iso art scene aren't very
skilled at doing character sprites...  AND I'm really not trying to put
anyone down, it's just something I've noticed... and, heck, we've all
gotta start somewhere, you know?

I like the over-all composition of this guy.  It's nice and dynamic.
One thing you should do, though, is try and contrast it all up a bit...
even with the pastel look you can still get some decent defining contrast
in there, you know?

FFT sprites are the best sprites to check out for iso references, in my opinion.
In fact, square soft/square enix has a lot of great content for referencing.

Personally, though, I'm not too into iso art...
But yeah, here:

I suggest more contrast and highlights on the guy. He's cute. :P Not too bad at all. :) Although I think he'd do better in a non-iso peice. I'm not an iso expert, but I think, when it comes to isometrics, angles are key and this one seems like it'd be a bit odd if you put it in an isometric scene with the same angles all around.
