This is what I've done so far, but it looks more cyborg then robot, so wondering if that's allowed.

->Kanonsis: the ear and eye seem quite far apart, maybe make them closer?

I'm SOOOO late on this, but this is what I got so far...



It's supposed be a ninja that's cloaked, thus refracting the light around his face but revealing his eyes. It's hard to make the glass shading right, though. Any help here?

Here is mine, need to finish it soon.
I really don't know what to do for the beard, looks awful to me.

In and of itself it looks good, though I don't feel the shading on the right really adds anything as far as stylization.

The two halves are so different I could see it being interpreted as half-ninja, half-evil robot, and based on what's transpired before, combos would be against the rules.

 If you had just posted the symmetrical versions, I would have never guessed they started off combined. The one on the left looks like a ninja, while the one on the right could maybe be a dark wizard.

With some asymmetry added in, I think you could post either one of the bottom two. Nice to see you on here, by the way. ;)

Thanks for the feedback, Jim! I did reach at one point but I think it's down to 12 again now.
I like the way you did the hair for your wizard: simple yet effective. I think you can make the background say more about the character, though.

leaning toward the one on the right, which will keep a a relatively consistent style across 4 of my entries

Gamamoto: enlarge the cranium. Also the entire face sort of slant forward toward the jaw (and slopes back toward the forehead), and the ear is placed too high. Make sure to usereferences of actual human heads.

Um... my evil robot isn't in the Weekly Challenge list and I can't put it in for some reason. Can a moderator fix that quickly please?

->Gamamoto: The biggest issue I have with your piece is in regards of the beard's shading. I think you can go for something simpler and less noisy, like the the technique Jim16 used for his wizard. The second thing that's restricting you is your palette: I'd suggest you make some colours less saturated and in between primary colours, like for example a desaturated orange. Think about your colour ramps: what colour is what? what kind of light is there in the scene? etc.
