Hi all!

First the picture:

The game will be viewed as x2, so it is preferred to view it zoomed like that. These are actual graphics I am going to use in a game (and if anyone bothers to tell me about uncertainties of game developed, be assured I have finished games before).

I am not limiting my palette, but generally I use ~8 colours per tile (blue background items are exception, they have up to 10 colours). I have some issues with the art which I'd like to ask for help with:
  1. I can't decide which clouds look better, or if either of them fit the game style. I believe the realistic approach of the bubble-cloud fits the pretty much realistic graphics of the game, while the capsule-clouds seem too cartoony (inspiration by Toe Fungi).
  2. These columns, which can actually resemeble palm's trunk, are not my pride and joy. Nevertheless I tried and couldn't make it any better, and hints on improving this part would be awesome.
I pretty much like everything else in the picture. I realize there are other problems though, and any critique will be welcomed warmly. The three slimes are actually three frames of the slime's animation, which I will include some time later for sure, when I finish with tiles and move on to sprites completely.

Now, if you haven't already guessed, my main inspiration is Fury of the Furries, mainly this screenshot. The palette is similar but I didn't copy the colours directly, I didn't even match them against the screenshot. I simply took a look at it and then, from memory, prepared the colours. Slimes were inspired by RPGMaker's RTP and other resources, and the rock tiles were inspired by Spelunker from here

This is my first serious try on pixelart, alltogether I think I spent around 10-12 hours on this.
