   CHALLENGE: The Easter Notbunny
Pick a real life animal - other than a bunny (or any other lagomorph) - and depict them with a basket containing Easter eggs.

So, for example, you could show an 'Easter Dolphin' delivering eggs to scuba divers.

Canvas Size - Unrestricted.

Colours - Max 15.

Transparency - Optional.

Animation - Optional.
CHALLENGE RULES
Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
Only new pixels allowed.
Open to all members.
Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.
CHALLENGE JUDGING
Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
Winner announced the following week.

CHALLENGE PRIZES/GOODIES
Top three finishers will receive an award displayed in your PJ gallery profile for all to see and envy.
Top finisher gets to call the following week's challenge...sweet.
'Participation' ribbons will be given for all who enter.
No matter what happens you get challenged :)

	Shrunk the image to make it more manageable. Tweaked colors and changed the idea - now it's a snake collecting easter eggs from nests. He's not eating them, I swear. Far less sinister this way.

	@FrostPumpkin: That's going to be beautiful when you're done. I already love the owl's colors. @cure: I love how your colors blend together so well on your clam. Not sure if I'd want to eat clam eggs, though. And if they're anything like pearls, won't we have to wait 10 or so years for those eggs? We'd need more than one easter oyster! :D

	I think the "pink" basket is too bright. I also think the "white" snake will not read so well over certain default backgrounds. Yeah, I'll be adding a nest with eggs, and more eggs in the basket. Comments?

	You're using a bit more than 15 colors (transparency counts, remember) and per rules you need a basket somewhere in the piece. I like where you're going though. It already has a nice look to it. I say keep those drab colors for the gator.

	Still have to put in the basket and finish the crocodile, but I believe I'm done with the eggs at least ('cept for minor adjustments). Brought the color count down to 15, I just hope there's not a stray color here or there.

	One on the left has 5 colours for the frog's green, the one of the right has 3, and 12 colours in total. If you squint your eyes they kinda look the same...

	Cleaned up the lines and filled in some colors, I'm thinking about leaving it unshaded since the lines are conveying sufficient information on volumes(will probably end up shading it anyway , we'll see) what do you think? thoughts/ideas on color would be really appreciated. @Grandolium: the texture you're creating reminds me of charcoal or wax crayon, loking forward to seeing the result of your testing. @Colonel_Bracket:Eventhough the left one uses more colors, I'd still prefer it over the right one, because the heavy dithering is creating texture on the frog's skin , which would work better if kept smooth imo.
