I really can't tell what it is suppose to be from the pixel art alone. Try to improve the readability by adding recognizable shapes such as fingers. Also, I really think Eyes will improve the readability even though it is not shown in the concept. Good luck.

Well here is an edit based on your and Cyangmou's edit/advice/suggestion!




This is an example to ask if I am going in right direction and perspective looks okay? If it looks good I'll change this piece to 64*64 and fix lines and add shading.

Try to imagine a human torso and then build rocks around it. Right now, you have him barrel-chested.

Take another look at Yaomon's; the rocks take a general shape of a human torso. Then as it is bent into your perspective, you notice that the torso-like shape still remains. Yours over-emphasizes the shoulders, without considering the latissimus dorsi muscles, located on the far and right sides of the back (Google that name for a better idea of the muscle I'm referring to).

Take another look that the musculature of the human body, and then use that as inspiration.
