   CHALLENGE: As Above, So Below
This week, we want you to create the inseparable duo of video games: the sprite AND the portrait of the same character or monster. The game genre and the perspective of the sprite is entirely up to you. You can use a border for the portrait. You must separate them from eacother by transparency.
Canvas Size - Max 100x200

Colours - Max 14

Transparency - Required (to separate the portrait and sprite).

Animation - Optional.
CHALLENGE RULES
Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
Only new pixels allowed.
Open to all members.
Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.
CHALLENGE JUDGING
Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
Winner announced the following week.

CHALLENGE PRIZES/GOODIES
Top three finishers will receive an award displayed in your PJ gallery profile for all to see and envy.
Top finisher gets to call the following week's challenge...sweet.
'Participation' ribbons will be given for all who enter.
No matter what happens you get challenged :)

	HEY howdy hey! I thought i'd join this competition! While close to finishing though, i made a big mistake. I completely forgot about the tranparancy part for the sprite. I tried giving it an outline. But i feel it makes the dark blue blends too much and kinda creates some sharp lookin edges. Is that just me? I also tried getting rid of the outline, but it still looked kinda funky. I thought it'd be cool to get some possible tips! (ps the pallette i used is the Default windows95 Paint pallette)

	I believe that transparency is needed only to separate sprite from the portrait, so you can use background for the sprite

	Hi guys! Here is my piece: I had some doubts about my work's format after I seeing this comment: In challenge post says "either orientation", so I'm not sure now is my submission OK or not? I couldn't ask in the challenge post, because my level is below 2: And I wasn’t answered in the PJ's official tweeter either. Maybe someone here will tell me? Please?
