Topic: First character rotation

This is my first attempt at a character turn around any criticism on how to improve it or the character in general would be very helpful

here are a few designs off this base

I continued toying with the dwarf guy and made a turn around for him too props are hard

The rotation looks fine. Although these characters are overly dark, so if you place that already dim dwarf in a poorly lit cave, it would be impossible to notice him.

makes sense, I have never been really good at pallete creation and I tend to dislike overly saturated and bright colors since they invoke infant toys to me... I'll try making a better pallete

I ended up with more colors but I think I have a better pallete:

Beard is red now and buckle is gold and I think overall it is more readable in the scene you provided

I doesn't have to be over saturated. It has to be contrast. Like black font over a white paper. If you put gray font over a gray paper, it will be unreadable. Same way, you can have overly saturated green font over oversaturated yellow background, which would not be much more readable either.

changed the pallete slightly here is everything recolored

EDIT:
Noticed a inconsistency in the beard so I fixed it

EDIT:
Fixed the beard some more, and fixed the belt perspective...made the backpack brighter to contrast the shirt
