CHALLENGE: Ancient Chill-Out

Challenge winner mobichan  this week challenges you to choose a hero, creature or God from Roman or Greek mythology and pixel a scene showing them in a private moment.
For example, Zeus could be in the toilet, Venus could be putting on curlers. Mercury could be cross-dressed, a drunk Neptune, etc.

Canvas Size: Fixed 128 wide x 90 high (no smaller, no bigger)
Colors: 12 or less
Animation: May be used
Transparency: None

CHALLENGE RULES

• Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
• Only new pixels allowed.
• Open to all members.
• Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.

• Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
• Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
• Winner announced the following week.

stupid question #1

The challenge says choose hero or god fromg greek mythology.  Jalonso's post has creatures in the mix as well.  So, my question is...can i use ANYTHING i want from greek mythology or am i restricted to hero/god and the creatures posted above?

It is a shame they have to be doing something domestic, because I would love to do this:

Well I think the box should be something else, cause otherwise it's just pandora. The idea is to put them in a "chill-out" scene. So maybe if she's opening a toilet that might be amusing. XD Or maybe she could be opening a drawer. :P Trouble is, pandora's one of those types of characters that are hard to recognize without her "box".

the challenge does mention creatures.. i would like to go for a cyclops..

i'm sorry this may sound really stupid but how do i place my WIP images into the post.. dun understand the insert image thingy..

First off you need to have an image host like Photobucket, Imageshack, Tinypic, or Xs.

You can use the IMG command like so...

[imgX] your image URL goes here [/img]

Just remove the X from the command.

or...

Click on the image button "" then enter the URL of your image.

Just a quick hint: posting jpegs on a pixelart forum is not really favourable. Even if WIPs.

PNG and GIF are considered the best formats for pixel art.

If I participate I will do what Athena, the goddess of wisdom, really reads when she's alone :P

hahaha.. alright i ought to clear up that matter.. the cyclops is actually short sighted.. a subtle hint with the eye test chart hanging on his wall in the background  lets just put it as my poor attempt at wit..
