First scetch. Thinking about animating some GITS-like robot. Can't design robot good enough.
Pattern - tiles of the floor. Also didn't come up with good tiles yet.

Webster defines "pattern" as "a repeated form or design"
So considering you are limiting your composition by the form and design of these mosaic tiles, then heck yes it applies! Great work btw. |

@Finlal, I think Jeremy means that the spirit of the challenge is about creating a pattern not just 'tiles'.

for the purposes of this challenge the pattern should be a prominent feature (so you don't have people just doing any old mockup with seamless tiles) using a tile example, 1. is a repeated element in the most technical sense, but wouldn't fit the challenge  2. is better, but really boring  3. is sweet  drazile's entry takes it in a direction that i hadn't considered but still works, in that he's using a repeated element to create something else, but the tile is an obvious & important part of the work. |

@Sturo I like the idea, but either darken the foreground lumberjack or lower the contrast of the background, as it's kinda hard to read. @Finlal I like where that's going. I expect to see a penrose triangle or something in there as well :D The corner on the left of the cube thing is incorrect, btw. |

Hi guys! Think i've got a grasp of the challenge, here is my WIP My inspiration comes from this picture http://www.vangviet.com/wp-content/uploads/fancy-luxurious-wallpaper-ideas-design.jpg - http://www.vangviet.com/wp-content/uploads/fancy-luxurious-wallpaper-ideas-design.jpg but I created my own 16x16 pattern, rotated it round the centre point 4 times and tiled Edit. it was pointed out my perspective on the floorboards was off, so I have edited and rehosted |
