Custard Cake is no pixel artist, this site says he's a Rookie. But way before Custard Cake joined here, he has done some like, trying to find out the differences of values, hues, and saturations, so Custard Cake could learn how hue shifting works, how like, they do their medium of art. So far, he hasn't found a medium of art that he accepts as a... pleasing piece of art. He doesn't expect to make professional art, eg. art for games, but, he intends to make pixel art to look good, and have good colors and whatnot. When he meant he was trying to find out the differences between HSL, he was taking art, putting them into paint, clicking 1 color, then he looks at the numbers for the first color, same goes for the rest of the shades in the art. Usually, people say to like, look at the art, but Custard Cake thinks this is not enough. He thinks that looking more into it than simply looking at the colors helps him more to better himself do hue shifting in the best way possible. But alas, he's yet to find a breakthrough in his ways, and make pixel art like the professionals. Again, he does not expect to make art like you see in video/indie games.
