You need to try harder, this looks like you made it in a minute. Go check out some tutorials on the sites links section, practice on the small scale like you have done but with more attention to color usage and pixel placement. use transparencies the white canvas makes this even more garish!

Join the forum and post your works before submitting to the gallery this is not the place to be criticized and make the revisions needed!
