I finally had time to do the Pixelation Secret Santa this year.  This one was made for 0xDB, whose prompt was to "have fun creating anything you wish or depict a scene where something you like co-exists peacefully with something you dislike."
This made me think of one of my favorite authors, Lord Dunsany, who had amazing abilities and lots of great ideas, but also had trouble keeping a consistent tone in his stories.  One of the best examples of this is The Distressing Tale of Thangobrind the Jeweler which I really wish were better than it is--it has some great imagery but ends with an anticlimax and a weak stab at a joke.  Anyway, this is a scene from it, with the titular Thangobrind taking Dead Man's Diamond from the idol of the spider-god Hlo-hlo.
