sounds awesome! ,you can totally make somthing like thet
and whan you are finished, you can send it to my email: gaziter@gmail.com
Great idea making the water into insta-death territory for cats. xD As for the golden fish and hearts, It's hard to tell their true functionality with each other when looking at the HUD. Does more golden fishes equals more lives? Still, great stuff man.
Single Image Platformer is a game where you can customise the graphics and level layout by giving the game your own specially-formatted image, and I want to try adapting your art here to a format that will work with it. The gameplay isn't great, but it's a nice compromise for when you want to see something in a game but not enough to actually make a full game out of it xP So, I want to try formatting your mockup into tiles to work with it.
thank you vary mach for this feeback, i really appreciate it.
i will try to change some things and some colors.
and about the image (if i got it right) ,you can create somthing, but don't enter to the challenge with it .
I think the colour scheme could be improved a little but that aside there are some lovely details here and your octopus all look great. Kind of puss versus pus...
Your light green blends into the sky. Since most instances of that green are next to the sky, it would probably be worthwhile to modify it.
The yarn isn't very readable because it looks like a slightly rounded square, rather than like a circle/sphere. Although I see that rounded squares/rectangles are part of the aesthetic here, I think making it round would help it both read as a ball of yarn and stand out as the final target.
On the subject of the rounded-rectangle aesthetic - why not push it even further, by making the clouds also have that sort of shape, and incorporating it into the HUD portrait more?
Would you mind if I attempted to make a version of this compatible with the Single Image Platformer? I don't think it could be done faithfully, but it might be fun to try.
For some reason I thought I had more tiles to work with in SIP, agh! There aren't enough tiles to recreate your clouds or the octopuses. And even the terrain can't do yours justice. I hope you weren't as excited about this as I was, it's a bummer ><
