Kaminari, I'm sure you could easily change the image to give a strong hint that the vertical dimension is meaningful. Examples :
- Move characters a little to make room for a huge crack across the road (chasm), which shows that the character has to jump the obstacle.
- Reduce the left building by one story, and show an enemy there
- A second truck parked on the side of the street, with a pickup item on it

Isometric platormers exist, but nothing about this mock-up suggests that it's a platformer.

This is really nice but its not a platformer game so it will not be entered in the weekly challenge.
