Interesting tool. The image is truecolor, not indexed, probably the reason the tool reports an unusual color number. I did a Save From Web... from Photoshop, and I looked at the PNG in a hex editor and half the file is xml garbage Photoshop adds. I'll see if I can make PS not do that. And I'll go see if I can get more info on the forums. Thanks!
You never have to delete and repost becuase it does not meet a challenge rule.
When we add pixels we review and correct if needed.
In this case however you also have a problem in your file output or some other setting in your pixels app. This pixel indicates it uses 126 colors which can't possibly be right.
You can always check any pixel in the 'image specs tool' in the top menu. Just enter the url.
This is this pixel HERE
This pixel may just be part of the learning curve and will be sent back for that technical reason.
The forum is there for all the help and questions you ever have so use it ;)

yes, I an 'approver' but we don't work like that here. Everyone is equal. After level 2 all can vote yes or no on any pixelart in the public queue.
Ok, thanks for the info, I'll make a sprite instead. Should I delete this and re-post it so that it can get approved? Are you the 'approver'? :)
In game art and pixelart:
Sprite = the entire body or form of any character or game asset. Human or not.
Portrait = the face and neck area only.
This week's challenge calls for a transparent background on the sprite.
HERE are this week's entries if you need some reference or visual examples.
Thanks for the info jalonso, i'm new to this. So I've reduced the art to 8 colors and removed the bg. I don't know what you mean by the difference between a portrait and a sprite. Is that really the background?
This is a portrait not a sprite and uses more than 8 colors and contains no transparency.
Please read rules for challenges ;)
It can stay and be added to your gallery but not as a weekly challenge.
I pixel with PS all the time. I also use save for web for output and then use the gif output but if you like png better then choose png8 (index color) instead of png24 (truecolor)
