The gradient was hand placed, but I could have cleaned it up a bit, sure.
@Delicious I would say it is at least borderline pixel art considering I literally placed almost every pixel by hand (Apart from block fills etc). Very rough, though.
I hope you have a version without gradident, because I think the idea is really nice, so are the colours.
Perhaps this could use some cleaning? It's clear that the image presents trees and landscapes here, but there isn't much about this that could be considered 'pixel-art' due to gradient/color count and strays. That said, this still has a lovely color scheme going on
@swagaloon normally the site requires manual palette controls, which prohibits the use of gradients, airbrushes, and semiopaque layers. even index painting has been a contentious subject, despite being deeply intwined with the history of pixel art.
while some examples have been allowed through, they've used these things very sparingly. others have been removed. I'm not a mod and I don't want to be, I'm just making you aware of how these discussions have gone in the past.
I fully believe that you can do this piece with this same atmospheric qualities by hand, with <50 colors rather than >500. I would encourge you to do that proactively whether or not this gets removed, because I think it would benefit both you and the piece here.
