Random designs for a character by the name of Black Flak Zack, something that has been an on and off concept in Studio Anjin. Takes a fair bit of inspiration from Legacy of the Wizard as well as other metroidvania style games such as La-Mulana and Maze of Galious.

I like the style and color of your character, but in the secod animation he looks like if he were "kicking", maybe you need add more frames.

Google for a very old game named Super Hydlyde on Sega Mega Drive. Reminds me so much of that! =D
