The reference was a random photo of a very cute girl.

The photo was found on a less-than-reputable site, but it was an innocent picture.

If anybody knows the *original* source and/or who she is, please speak up.

I'm so glad this got finally approved. I had a blast making this piece, and I'm very proud of it. I managed to achieve almost everything I set myself to do and then some.

Dithering the lips and makeup to make them look glittery and soft at the same time was crazy, and it involved a lot of painting by the seat of my pants, trial and error and incredibly tiny fiddling.

Yeah, the palette is very soft, but take this into account:

It's only two color ramps. The golden ramp had to do for the eyes, floor and hair; the pink ramp had to do for sweater, skin and lips.

Plus the reference photo is also quite pastel-colored.

BTW, I didn't check the color values in the reference, I just imitated them.

it looks very photographic for twelve colours. The colour pallette is a little soft for my liking, though the aliasing you have done for it makes it your own.
