Another old piece I found on my PC and want to share with the world before it rots on some hard drive and eventually crashes due to... reasons. In 2010 a friend and me wanted to create an action based horror-game with an Action Battle System. (And we wanted to submit it for a game contest) It was set in some kind of Gothic-London-Mystery-Mix and the story was about a monster hunter named Chessa Kahn. (Which you can see here)
This should have been the shooting-pose, as she draws her weapon and fires it right out of the movement. And yes, I am aware that there are practically no outlines, the colours are not complementary and the walking animation is way too rough. But hey, back then we used the RPG Maker 2003 and it only allowed a standard walk-cycle of just 3 frames and my skills weren't much developed :D
By the way: There also exists an animation in which she draws a broad sword out of her cloak. That's what I call inconspicuous. :D |
Yep, I know. As I said the standard-walking-cycle allowed only 3 frames. But we did not bother scripting a new one because we went with it so many years and scripting it would have been great effort.
But still we could use advanced poses in an alternative scripted battle system so here we could use much smoother animation.
Well, that's how we went with the limitations of the RPG Maker 2003. :D
