Eggy, it is indeed more interesting now!

The colour change was a great idea (in my opinion). It is easier and friendlier on the eyes as you got rid of the major white area.

While the shape is less monotone than a solid square (and more creative). You might want to reconsider the very right middle blood stain part. It looks limited to the piece's canvas therefore cut off.

Though the white squared background feels a bit weird. It is so bright and conveys a certain light mood to it. Also the shape of it could be more interesting but maybe trying to imitate a blood stain.

Actually, I have no clue about Japanese. I just inputted ""go to sleep" into Google Translate, copied the result in Japanese, translated it back for the lulz (it translated back to "sleep"), and then slapped it into Google Images to see if it means what I want it to mean and got a lot of results that were about people and things sleeping.
