I decided to practice drawing realistic weapons and armour, so I drew a soldier in 16th century plate armour with a greatsword, dagger and sidesword... and from there it got a little bit fantastical, but I don't mind. Too much people doing fantasy stuff completely forget that for fantasy to connect and feel immersive, you need to keep things grounded. That way the magical stuff feels more real, possible.
