The background's pretty good but I'm most drawn to the characters. You don't see a lot of pixelartists putting Pocket Fighter-style proportions together, it's a bit of a niche market but that game has a special place to me. I'm also impressed at all the well-sprited kanji on display, but I don't know a lick of Japanese so I couldn't compliment/critique the vocabulary used here. If someone else could pop in and verify whether it's background filler or actually fits the context (or both) that'd be great.

Have you been to a maid cafe? If so, how was it? I've seen videos of it, but I've never been to one. xD

FYI to those interested, each character is 16 colours each, with the background being a bit more random for the sake of the concept!

This has got a really nice arcade feel to it, great work on the sprites!

This may not be approved because the current colour count is 392 (PixelJoint does not accept anything beyond 256), so I'd say a quick colour reduction should fix it! I suggest using the Image Specs Tool which is in the Features tab of the PixelJoint website before submission.
