It's the year 2235: The most advanced and most powerfull robot ever is being created. With higly advanced Artificial Inteligence, and an abnormaly powerfull spider suit. The final touches are being made. One of the scientists makes a fatal mistake: His ethical subroutines have been deleted, the robot is beyond reason. Hem kills the scientists and escapes. He sees an artificial world created for the humans to survive a next ice age, callculated to come in aproxamatly 5 years. He takes the world, along with some other robots he convinced to join him. Everything seemed to be lost.

The scientists had to build an offense against this robot, but they had nearly spend all funds they had on the spider. They could only build a robot that was far inferior to the spider. And asking funds from the government wouldn't be clever either as it would alarm them greatly. So they build a robot with their small funds, and came up with the H.M-I.W.M: The Highly Mobile Inteligent War Machine. Along with I.M.I.D Inteligent Mobile Information Device.
