The AA worked wonders! I love how the dunes flow now. It looks almost like a heat haze.
The form of the clouds are my favorite part of your piece, it goes well with showing the speed of the wind.

I completely agree with you about the AA.
Actually, I tried adding AA on the dunes but I failed to make it look nice and smooth so I removed it in the end.
I think the problem was that I couldn't pick a good color for the sand to sky transition and overdid the AA on some parts.
I will give it another try! :)
I really like the readability and simplicity here, well done. 
I know you were going for a minimalistic approach, however, AA on he dunes might improve the piece.
