Thank you for such a constructive feedback. I was a little rushed so I submitted  WIP, and that's it. I thought that I will animate it... But, nothing of that. Rookie mistake...

This is pretty good! Welcome to PJ!

I usually "fake" a glow around the brightest parts by applying some subtle oval blotches around them on the dark background- of course, if it's not meant to be a clearly separated sprite or similar asset. I found out that it can add some flair to shiny things :)
