Top Pixel Art - June 2016 (#1)
Thanks! Not for Duelyst, but my client was looking for something with a similar style. Most characters are a bit smaller, but this one, being larger, is closer to the Duelyst size, too.
Duelyst? If not, the similarities are striking, though I do say that's a good thing. It's not often I start playing a competitive game for the pixel work alone.
This is super smooth. I love the animation when it raises its arms, really powerful and conveys a nice feeling of reverence.

Thanks :) I'd actually started this piece and had the main motion down a couple of months ago and had that animation on my twitter. I noticed the similarity too when you posted it. Thats not to say its not inspiring work, though. Ive certainly taken influence from your FX work more generally. xD

I really like your intro, how the smoke spirals up. Also the motion blur is great but I think a slight speed increase per frame would do this animation a lot of justice. Motion blur seems too always make more sense when the frame rate is faster
