Banding occurs when pixel/pixels line up to the exact length of the adjacent lighter or darker pixel/pixels next to it. This disrupts the flow of shading, creating a break opposed to a smooth transition at the ends.
I didn't mention the pillow shading because it wasn't so horrible or overused.
It is highly recommend that you go back to edit work that you believe can be fixed.
Yea i know half of these issues :S
Wel coud you explain the word ,,Banding'' to me? not really sure what that means...
The thumb...well many people pointed that oit XD Yea i probably put more time into the next human i make...also something that you miss: horrible pillow shading because i was laazy :P
I hate to sound picky or just plain annoying, but I have a few suggestions.
Line Art:
The line art is pretty solid except for a few areas. Her left thumb is misplaced. Sharp and straight lines in the neck and collar area looks to need more natural flow. It is unnecessary in the folds of the skirt. AA could help smooth out those jaggy long transitions of the lines in the legs, though the whole piece could benefit from it.
Shading:
Banding in a few areas of the leg. Wow, those eyes are nicely done.
Other:
I wish I could grow some of dat hair. xD Keep up the good work.
I am someone that leaves project alone to see the prgress i made when i make a new one...just to messure how much i improved...
Maybe i have some really ugly stuff in my folders but i have a good sense of progress and feel better when i failed at something ^^
