In my case, I mostly pay attention to the movement between frames to see if it transitions consistently to the next one. Kind of hard to explain.
No pixelling software used in here. Every pixel in here was applied by hand!

Smooth animation with an awesome pixeling!! I would play a game with this style without thinking twice. I was a huge Ragnarok Online fan.
That's a really nice use of subpixelling. How do you normally go about animating an idle stance like this and ensuring it 'reads' correctly, consistently?
