A last night scribble, tons of rushed stuff and things.
Here's an example of the formatting I was referring to:
Thank you for great critique, i dont plan on revisiting or fixing since its a weekly though. I made the character, hud, text and misc stuff in literally as fast as i possibly could so it is what it is. and it's blonde hair, if that helps you see it any better.
i've gotten good suggestions about the hud stuff, which i felt was messy and weak even when i made it. I'll try to get better at creating a clear hud in the future, but I don't understand what you mean by "hang" here?
I love the environment and the palette. The world appears ancient with its dead grass and crumbling stone.
I second Finlal's suggestion for a shadow to anchor the character sprite to the grass. Maybe the character can do something more interesting than standing? I want to read the head so badly, but I can't figure it out. Is that a helmet? A lion face?
As a mockup, the composition would feel more balanced if you moved the mission text to the right side of the screen. The tree has a higher level of detail than the tower, which makes me want an unobstructed view. Also, you should "hang" the check box, so the text is aligned.
Keep up the good work!
Love the background. Nice colors.
i referenced mainly diablo 3 which is a bit more vibrant coloured and has that slight cartoonish style to it, rather than the earlier parts of the franchise. Also i kind of get that colourful cartoon style in mind thinking about game boy games in general, so i made everything a bit jollier.
Doesn't look very Diablo-y & I'd make the scale of things a bit smaller, but absolutely stunning. I'd love to play it for sure!
The experience bar could have another color.
it's hard to distinguish hair from head-skin, maybe you could change hair color
It looks very professional, I would play it definitely!
Very beautiful! Really nice palette. Definitely has my vote!
Still looks good. The only nitpick I can think of - there probably should be a shadow under the warrior.
