Inspired by the the "fist" mini boss in Turrican games, old heavy metal LP cover art, Hello Kitty and the music of Pink. :D
For this picture I tested a new technique; previously I have pixelled with the mouse alone, but this time I first drawed the whole image to a A4 size paper, and scanned the image from it, and then just pixelled over my drawing.
And this worked well for me, it's lot easier and faster to draw by hand than with the mouse...much easier to make curved lines, experiment with different designs and to get things looking "right" from the beginning.
In the past I have actually drawed a lot of stuff with pencil, but somehow haven't realized that I can also transform my drawings into pixels by scanning them, until now. Which makes me feel a little bit stupid. But on the other hand I haven't even owned a scanner, until some 6 months ago I bought one. :)
And what a handy machine this scanner is, how would I describe it to you...it's a black box, filled with magic and sorcery, with an openable hatch on the top, and inside there is like a surface of a lake that has frozen over. And you put your scannable item into this lake, and then a bright light appears, so bright that it hurts your eyes, and there is a sound of roaring thunder and rockslides. And the light will look at the item, and if found worthy, an image of this item will then enter a rope that is attached to the backside of the box, and it moves inside this rope and goes inside the godly humming calculator altar that I described to you in my previous letter. And then the image appears on the other lake that is attached to the altar, and from there we can send the image to other altars around the world. This happens either through ropes, or through the sorcery of invisble and silent thunder, that moves between the altars, through walls and people without harming them.
And through this magic my friend, as unbelievable as it may sound, images of real things from the real world can be recorded, and sent into the city of humming altars, which people can see in the lakes but to which they cannot go inside, for that city both exists and doesn't exist. And in every house there is a humming altar, and ropes and lakes, and boxes of magic, poor and rich alike. :D

And as a reference for the red fist, I used my own fist. :)

I guess that's one way of seeing it.
I don't have a scanner at home, but thank God public libraries do. It feels nice to upload and share drawings, especially since I feel like I'm a better drawer than a pixeler.
