I really like the pixelwork on the sword. One thing you that could maybe do to help the peice a little bit more (This might be me nit-picking a bit to much) is to make the fire a little more natural and "wispy". It kinda looks like the fire was just "plopped" on the top instead of looking like it is growing from the bonfire. For example, in http://orig06.deviantart.net/fffe/f/2013/143/1/a/dark_souls___bonfire_by_alo81-d66a3fy.png it looks like the fire is climbing the sword.
