Some more screens from my old RPG (mostly 2011-2014) project which is still in progress. More description here: Project Screens #1

I think there are some problems in terms of readability which I'm aware of, but I still like how some tiles and objects turned out.

I removed all transparency effects for PJ, characters and some objects, because the most are placeholders at the current stage. More to come.

1. Simple map for the intro (Reich des Lichtes = Realm of the light, Schattenlande = Land of shadows).

2. The inn at the capitol.

3. More houses at the capitol.

4. Entrance to the sewerage.

5. More sewerage.

6. Unknown place under the sewerage.

These scenes look good. FF6 is a fantastic game and I can see the inspiration in what you have made.

Right, the golem was made after an enemie from BoF, because I was using sprites from different games before making my own. And FF6 is one of my favorite RPG's, so I took some inspirations from it :)

This is based on BoF? I recognize who the sprite is supposed to be, I think.

I like the houses scene especially, with the pipes and shading on doors and such, also gives me a FF6 vibe.

Thanks! I know there are some issues with the ground, but as you said, I'm not willing to put even more work into them. But I learned alot and will keep this and other problems in mind for future work.

Maybe I'll add some sprites later.

Great style and look. The map and the city tileset are my favorite. The sewers are also cool, but not as nice. The last tileset is the weakest. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. Ye, I understand that, the water looks a bit better animated, but had to keep it simple because of restrictions (just one tile, 4 pics, simple loop)

I love what you did with the map.

There is some readability issues due to the contrast, which I'm assuming would be a pain in the arse to fix right now considering the detail of the tiles. I'm wondering if just changing the ground texture to something darker on the second and third screen may ease the issue a little? You already did this on the fourth and fifth screens and it make the surroundings more readable.

It would be interesting to see what it looks like with the sprites.

Nice work:)

I really like all of this.. Reminds me of Chrono trigger..The only thing I DONT like is that water looks like carpet.
