Wasn't sure if I should add shine to the hair or not. Also, was considering to make the eyes the same color as the reddish color to make the picture 6 colors, but I think that makes it look too flat. *Edit: Went ahead and changed the black of the eyes to the reddish color.

The eyes pop out a bit much IMO. The reason maybe due to the use of black in that area and nowhere else. A possible solution is to recycle the darker red used for shadows, but I'm not sure if it will work for around the blue irises...

And don't worry about something being too flat. Flatness can also be a tool to balance a piece out. It's all about trying out what works the best for you.
