AA is anti-aliasing. Basically, it means using an intermediate color/tone between very contrasting pixels to gain a smoother look.
(A more complete definition of terms used in pixel art can be found here.)
You are already doing this in various places and like i said, i'm not sure if two much of it would not destroy the sharpness here, so you probably don't need to worry about it.

Your FF character pieces have a nice "serious" feeling to them. I like them all, this one and Faris the most.
Technically they could all use some more AA, but i'm not sure about it, as it could also destroy their good sharp appearance.
