Ooooh yeeaaaah! Took me a couple of hours, and i'm very pleased with the result - although i think her legs could be too small. Now i really want to animate it...

I took the colours for the pallette from the reference pics.

EDIT:
Lengthened her legs and smoothened out her right knee and edited the feet. Also took out the energy ball for now (dont worry, it'll be in the animated version which i'm in the process of making.) Only 9 colours now not including transparency.

finite: Cheers man. You're totally right, it really lacks depth. Perhaps i'll do some more Samus later on and see how i've improved.

Awesome, very solid rendition of her. You can never have enough Samus. :) The only critique I have is the piece seems a little flat, would be nice to have a bit more depth to it (perhaps by darkening the far leg/shoulder), but that's could be a stylistic choice.

it need the yellow and red colors in the mid section and upper torso... look at the references to see where exactly where. it is great though. proportions are off a bit but it looked like you meant it to be a little abstract...
