Oh you are so wrong, my friend, IMHO. Even bland and unimportant animation makes every picture alive! So it's crucial to add it everytime you can. More important, practice makes perfect. The only way to beat animation is to animate as often as possible. Meet your enemy everyday, so in a year you will have one more good old friend.

I have this tought that it is not worthy to animate if the animation doesn't add a lot of value to it.  You are right, I could animate the tears easily, but I think that wouldn't add much to it...

Maybe I am wrong. I should try to animate more often.

Animation is actually not so scary as it seems to be. It's monotonous like hell, but simple as a pie.

I mean you REALLY need to try it out.

Take an editor with layers support and make the moving objects on the separate layer. Morever, it's enogh about 4-5 frame at all to get pretty decent animation.

But I see some good animations in your portfolio... Guess you can totally animate the teardrops of the stone easily...
