Still finishing this, just wanted to try my hand at a few of my fave Marvel and DC heroes, in their "70's" costumes... i'll post the final later How many can you recognize?

I really like them, PixelJew, and although I've read no more than 2 comic books starring these characters in my life I was able to recognise all but Kitty Pride. These would work brilliantly in a game.

And just a reminder, the PJ gallery is only for finished works. You're pardoned this time because it's obvious you've put a lot of effort into these, but in the future try posting your WIP on the PJ forum :) Good luck with these.

yeah- this is a "work in progress"- i started by doing Justice League and X Men, then kinda hopped around from there- the backgrounds are going to be reduced evntually- and i wil add more heroes, maybe even sort them "by team" or affiliation...? anyhoo- thanks for the comments, this was just a little exercise to see if i could make them all look different- different heights, eyes, mouths, etc in a limited space- each portrait is 40x40

Superman, Flash, Captain America, Cyclops, Professor Xavier, Colossus, Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Wolverine, Beast, Thing, and I actually identified Kitty Pride, then scrolled down and confirmed my answer. By the way, there are a hefty amount of colors in some of the backgrounds, you might want to work on getting rid of some of them. Batman and Cyclops are my favorites, in that order. And I agree with fantabulastic, you include the obscure Kitty Pride but no Spiderman?

Everyone but the bottom right is pretty clear to me -- nice little collection. Wolverine's face is a bit plain compared to the rest of the characters though.

Colossus, Beast and Thing aren't finished yet- and Wolverine's mouth isn't done either- i think you see his chin as his mouth- that's why he looks sad...

'Blue' Batman modeled after the neal Adams batman- my personal favorite batman artist (besides Brian Bollan)

Nice work. i only don't recognize the last ones, and i don't like colossus, beast and the thing.. And why is wolverine so sad? =~~.

About all others, i really like them.. They look similar to the original ones, and i love the blue batman, just like old days =D. Nice job
