I did a background for one of my adventure games. I was aiming for the DOTT style which I think I got right quite nicely.

I wouldn't call it pixel art because you aren't working on a pixel precise level. It's made with pixelling tools, but not with pixel art technique being used. I'd call it more of an oekaki piece.

I just used a bigger brush from time to time you wanna tell me this is not pixel art Chris go ahead, some see that it can be more than one pixel wide. Anyway I like using thicker lines in some cases gives it a different feel than other pixel art entries.

It's not odd really. That makes oekaki what it is, quickly made art using pixels that makes it not pixelart. I would still love to see your finished game, keep us posted :D

Lol I can see pixels... Anyway thanks guys Ill look into implementing that jmqgandalf in future pix As for disturbing ... ??? not so sure...

Thanks it took me about 20 minutes. I find my best work gets done quickly... odd isnt it?

Nice cartonish piece, but i think more defined shading and AAing could help a lot.

btw, i found the preview picture disturbing.....or maybe is my dirty mind >:D

I do like the cartoon hand in this; very nice - and it certainly looks sufficiently pixelly to me to be pixel art.
